While the knife is held in a jaw/bottom die set with the knife moving at high speed, it vertically cuts through the tube with impact. The recommended tolerance for the knifes’ thickness is +/- 0.02mm (0.001”). The preferred materials for tube cut knives are high speed steel or M2, holding hardness with +/- 1HRC, ensuring sharpness, strength and wear resistance. Plating recommendations: TiN (Titanium Nitride) Gold.
